Wonderful Wedding Flower Designs
Your wedding flowers will feature in every picture and add to the memory of your very special day. At Shaw Lane Flowers I’ll help bring your dream to life.
Creating magical spaces
From the deep velvety red of roses to a light, quirky cluster of wildflowers, the flowers you choose transform any room. Think elegant white peonies for a classic feel, or an explosion of blues and oranges for a contemporary style.
In every design I consider the style of the venue; your flowers will complement and enhance the room, with winding staircase garlands for your grand entrance, and magnificent pedestal displays to welcome your guests.
Consider sunflowers for cheer, trailing blossoms for romance, while the fragrance of summer jasmine can add an additional sensory layer that will remind you of your wedding day every time you smell it.
From bouquets to archways
Choosing your flowers is a wonderful part of the planning. Visit my relaxed and welcoming workroom to share ideas, view lace, ribbons and accessories, look through my portfolio and build on your ideas – all over a lovely cup of tea. Bring your bridesmaid – the flowers are (almost) as important as the dress, after all, so let’s have some fun.
Bridal bouquets, buttonholes, bridesmaid baskets and flower balls, centrepieces, pew ends, and wedding arches, I’d love to be part of your day whatever the design you have in mind.
Bridesmaids and groomsmen
There are any number of combinations we can design for your wedding party – it’s all down to your personal choice.
Mini gerberas can make an eye-catching flower crown, with delicate baby’s breath for a bridesmaid hair circlet. A single rose or individually pinned stephanotis make an elegant hair comb, while wildflowers can make a wonderful messy updo.
Buttonholes for groomsmen, bridesmaid wands and flower baskets for smaller helpers, posies and corsages – your wedding party will be a vision in every picture.
Design for your budget
Beautiful flowers don’t have to blow your budget, but you do need to consider the blooms you choose.
Foxtail lilies, delicate orchids and exotic Birds of Paradise will always cost more, while seasonal flowers such as spring tulips and summer peonies will go further.
Together we can consider variations to your design. A single stem of calla lilies for a bridesmaid can be as effective as a posie, while a table display or pedestal from the church can be moved and placed again in the reception.
Bringing your dream to life
As a professional florist for over 20 years I’ve designed wedding flowers for churches, stately homes, castles and barns. Bringing such natural beauty into a room creates a warm, welcoming and magical atmosphere.
Although we will discuss your bouquets in detail before the day, a bride rarely sees the finished display until the day itself. It’s vital that you feel comfortable and trust me to make your vision a reality – so if you have any questions or concerns, I’m here to help.
Traditional, contemporary or vintage
If you have a style in mind, your flowers will complement and enhance your theme. If you’re not sure, we can choose the look you prefer. There’s no right or wrong, your flowers will create the atmosphere you most want.
I have a portfolio of floral designs to give you ideas. Flowers create an emotional response – during your consultation we’ll take all the time you need to get the ones that feel just right.
